Outreach
This vital ministry of the church provides the members of the church and community with the tools to reach out to the poor, needy and hungry that are hidden among us in this middle to upper class geographical area as well as in the city. Routine collections of clothing, food, and monetary donations are assembled and distributed to the food pantries, clothing distribution centers and to individual families. Our efforts are doubled during the Holiday season as more and more families find that their dollars are not stretching as they attempt to create a memorable Christmas experience for their families.
If your group is gathering items for the needy among us, please make sure you notify the church office of your group name, the items you are collecting, the recipient, and the time frame for your collection. Also, please clearly label all receptacles with the same information. Only the group (or individual) who provided the receptacle should remove the items collected, and we ask that this be done in a timely manner. Everyone's cooperation is greatly appreciated.
