Little Lamb Preschool


  Little Lamb Preschool provides a creative learning experience for children within a Christian framework. Our curriculum:

  • Introduces children to new ideas and knowledge about their world and give them further information about the natural world.
  • Helps them develop social relationships with adults and other children.
  • They learn to interact in a larger group, to share with each other and to appreciate other children.
  • Maintains a Christian atmosphere while nurturing relationships with their peers and other adults.

Programs

Two-Year Old Co-Op Playgroup

This program is designed to provide quality care to toddlers in a safe and caring atmosphere while their parents enjoy free time.  There is one teacher. During each session, one or two parents remain as the teacher’s helpers. Each family takes about 6-8 turns as the co-op. On the days that you are not co-oping, you are free for two hours. The children have the chance to practice separating from parents, interacting with a group of their peers, and relating to other adults.

 Three & Four Year Old Preschool

PROGRAM

Every day at LLP we include circle time, centers, cleanup and bathroom time, stories, snack and large motor activities.  We also include prayer, poems and singing.  We plan field trips and classroom visitors as well as holiday parties/events.  
 
CENTERS
We believe learning is most meaningful to preschoolers if it is presented in such a way that the children are active and playing.  To accomplish this, we have centers every day at LLP.  Some days we have learning centers and other days we have free choice centers.  On learning center days, the children rotate through 3-5 centers that are teacher directed and relate to our theme.  On free choice center days, the children have the opportunity to choose their activities from our classroom centers.  Some of our learning centers will be available along with our regular classroom centers.  By encouraging the children to choose centers, they are learning the valuable skill of how to make choices and engage in productive play.  In order to encourage the children to try different free choice centers, we will open and close various centers throughout the school year. 
 
LEARNING CENTERS:  Art,   Math, Language, Science, Games, Sensory, Cooking and more…
 
FREE CHOICE CENTERS:  Blocks, Art, Library, Discovery, Sand & Water, Table toys, Puzzles & Games, Dramatic Play, Imagination Station, Flannel Board, Chalkboard, Large Motor, Coordination

Tuition

The Little Lamb Preschool school years starts in September and runs through May. The 2010-2011 school tuition rates are:

Two-Year-Old Co-Op (1 day per week): $285.00 per child - 3 payment plan - $295.00

Three-Year-Old (2 days per week): $665.00 per child - 3 payment plan - $685.00

Four-Year-Old (4 days per week): $1,155.00 per child - 3 payment plan - $1,185.00

There are tuition discounts for HUMC members.
